If like me you spent the 90’s listening to Nirvana whilst wearing a lot of black eyeliner and baggy jumpers with holes in the sleeves for your thumbs, then you are going to be very pleased with the New Grunge trend for Autumn / Winter 2019.
This trend brings back so many happy memories for me. I was a wild child, pale skinned and panda eyed. All I cared about was boys with piercings and music you could mosh to. I used my style as a rebellion, and an expression of the crazy emotional rollercoaster that was my teenage years.
Prairie dresses are my new obsession for S/S19. I’m currently wearing mine with a roll-neck and cowboy boots but come summer I will happily swish around in this with trainers to dress it down and barely there sandals to dress it up.

Have you found your perfect Winter boots yet? I’ve so far bought and returned three pairs! I just can’t make up my mind because there are so many gorgeous styles of boots and they are all really different, I feel like I need them all!

Animal print is everywhere. When I walk through my office I feel like i’m on a Big Game safari! I am a massive animal print fan and I am totally happy that it is such a huge trend right now, but if you aren’t so sure this trend is for you then why not try it on your feet first? I’ll be honest when I first saw this trend on the AW18 catwalks I hated it. I just thought it was really garish and ostentatious and I could never see myself wearing it. It didn’t help that when I first started looking for this trend on the high street it was all the ‘younger’ brands like Pretty Little Thing and Missguided who were using it and they were doing it in a really skin tight bodycon type of way – this didn’t inspire me with much confidence, it just made it look really cheap and nasty.
I focused on some of the other AW18 trends and forgot about Scarf Print until last week when I slowly started to notice some really nice pieces appearing in Zara and Mango and I decided to buy a blouse and give it another try. Continue reading →
AFFILIATE LINKS / SPONSORED POSTS / GIFTED ITEMS
I use affiliate links in the posts on my blog which means, if you buy a product recommended by me, I sometimes make commission.
I still continue to feature brands that I have no affiliation with and only feature products I love! If a post I have written is sponsored I will make that clear in the post. If I am recommending an item I have been gifted I will make that clear and again I will only recommend products I genuinely like and think are great.
