Prairie dresses are my new obsession for S/S19. I’m currently wearing mine with a roll-neck and cowboy boots but come summer I will happily swish around in this with trainers to dress it down and barely there sandals to dress it up.
The interesting thing about the Prairie dress is that it is the perfect mixture of conservative modesty with its high neck and ankle grazing hem and bohemian freedom with it’s floaty tiered skirts and floral prints. I like to imagine it as what Florence Welch would wear to a Victorian themed music festival. Continue reading →
Have you found your perfect Winter boots yet? I’ve so far bought and returned three pairs! I just can’t make up my mind because there are so many gorgeous styles of boots and they are all really different, I feel like I need them all!
I have been doing loads of research to find my perfect pair so I thought I would share it with you. I’ve separated them into my five favourite boot trends and given you some street style inspiration for how to wear them.
Animal print is everywhere. When I walk through my office I feel like i’m on a Big Game safari! I am a massive animal print fan and I am totally happy that it is such a huge trend right now, but if you aren’t so sure this trend is for you then why not try it on your feet first? A pair of snake, leopard, or zebra boots instantly gives a dull everyday outfit a bit of wow factor.
I’ll be honest when I first saw this trend on the AW18 catwalks I hated it. I just thought it was really garish and ostentatious and I could never see myself wearing it. It didn’t help that when I first started looking for this trend on the high street it was all the ‘younger’ brands like Pretty Little Thing and Missguided who were using it and they were doing it in a really skin tight bodycon type of way – this didn’t inspire me with much confidence, it just made it look really cheap and nasty.
I focused on some of the other AW18 trends and forgot about Scarf Print until last week when I slowly started to notice some really nice pieces appearing in Zara and Mango and I decided to buy a blouse and give it another try. Continue reading →
Get ready to raid your Nana’s wardrobe because heritage tweed and checks are a huge trend for Autumn / Winter. Take inspiration from the Royal Family who really know how to rock a tweed then add a casual twist, try a prim tweed jacket with a slogan t-shirt and jeans or team it with a leather skirt. AFFILIATE LINKS / SPONSORED POSTS / GIFTED ITEMS
I use affiliate links in the posts on my blog which means, if you buy a product recommended by me, I sometimes make commission.
I still continue to feature brands that I have no affiliation with and only feature products I love! If a post I have written is sponsored I will make that clear in the post. If I am recommending an item I have been gifted I will make that clear and again I will only recommend products I genuinely like and think are great.
