Autumn / Winter 2018 Trends – Part 3 Scarf Print

I’ll be honest when I first saw this trend on the AW18 catwalks I hated it. I just thought it was really garish and ostentatious and I could never see myself wearing it. It didn’t help that when I first started looking for this trend on the high street it was all the ‘younger’ brands like Pretty Little Thing and Missguided who were using it and they were doing it in a really skin tight bodycon type of way – this didn’t inspire me with much confidence, it just made it look really cheap and nasty.

I focused on some of the other AW18 trends and forgot about Scarf Print until last week when I slowly started to notice some really nice pieces appearing in Zara and Mango and I decided to buy a blouse and give it another try. Continue reading

Autumn / Winter 2018 Trends – Part 1 Animal Print

We are having the best Summer for weather that I can ever remember, it’s hard to imagine that in a couple of months we will be back in coats and jumpers and wooly hats!

I don’t want this lovely Summer to end but there is one thing about the approach of Autumn and Winter that I am looking forward to and that’s the fashion. Earn your Stripes!

Everybody loves a stripe right? But forget your tame old Breton t-shirt, this Spring Summer you need to wear your stripes bright, bold and in as many different directions as possible! This trend is all over the high street and I love it! Vertical stripes are really flattering and it’s a really fun way of experimenting with colours you might not be brave enough to wear normally.
