What I’ll be drinking for my first sober Christmas.

In my family we often have Bucks Fizz with breakfast, Sherry at church in the morning, a G&T when we get home, Wine and Champagne with Christmas lunch, Prosecco or Mulled Wine throughout the afternoon and then of course Baileys in the evening whilst watching some Christmas television. It feels as if alcohol is an intrinsic part of Christmas to me and I know I need to be prepared for those feeling of missing out and remind myself of how wonderful this sober (almost year) has been.

For me the key is to be prepared, I know that if I have alcohol free alternatives it will help me feel involved in all the festivities and stop me from feeling like I am depriving myself somehow. I’ve found alternatives for all my favourite Christmas drinks, I’ve tried and love all of them except the Twisst Irish Cream which I have decided to include because it’s the only alcohol free Irish Cream i’ve ever come across and I can’t wait to try it.

Thanks for reading! Wishing you a wonderful sober Christmas. I’d love to hear about how it goes and about any drinks you recommend.

If you want to read more about my sober journey this year you can find a couple of posts here.
